Trees, Trees and more Trees

Over the years the trees at Elmrise have grown without restraint. There are a number that could do with a little TLC. Over this winter the team has tackled some of the larger ones including the main oak at the centre of the park.

There have also been a number of new additions noticeably the cherry trees at the top of the park.

Halloween 2010

If anything, this years Halloween party down the Pavillion was attended by more people than last years. The agenda remained the same, bonfire, fireworks, drink, food, drink, food, drink, drink.... (maybe that's why the attendance is so high).

Walking on Water

Someone can do it.




The kids had been somewhat bored in the pool this year. As a new added attraction Julie had arranged for a "Walking on Water" session. Personally I had no idea what this was but apparently it's all the rage in the Cities. Anyway, mid morning a guy turned up with an inflatable ball that you crawl inside. The idea is that the ball is slightly pressurised which keeps it inflated whilst you try and stand up and move around the pool. Sounds easy! Well by the shannanagins going on that day I would say not.

Nature at Elmrise

Elmrise is a pretty good place for watching the wildlife. You often come across animals that you either wouldn't see or not have the time to study in detail. Here is the latest addition...
